ComfortVerse is designed to be privacy-first. This Privacy Policy explains what information is processed when you use the app, where it is stored, and what is not collected.
Information We Process
No analytics or tracking: ComfortVerse does not use third-party analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, tracking pixels, or advertising identifiers for profiling. On-device app data: App preferences and interaction state are stored locally on your device (for example, display preferences and checklist state). Bookmark data: When you bookmark verses, bookmark records are stored locally and may sync through Apple iCloud/CloudKit if iCloud is enabled for your device/account. No developer-hosted database: The developer does not operate external servers to store your app data.
How Information Is Used
Core app functionality: Data is used only to provide app features such as verse display, bookmarking, and persistence. Sync across your Apple devices: If iCloud is enabled, CloudKit is used to sync bookmark data across your devices signed in to the same Apple ID. No profiling: Data is not used for ad targeting, behavioral profiling, or data brokerage.
Third-Party Services and Platform Providers
Apple iCloud/CloudKit: Used for bookmark synchronization. Data handling by Apple is governed by Apple’s privacy terms. External links and sharing: If you use in-app links (for example support/legal/social links) or the iOS share sheet, the destination app/service may process data under its own privacy policy.
Data Retention and Deletion
On-device data: Remains on device until you remove it (for example by deleting bookmarks or uninstalling the app). iCloud/CloudKit data: Retained according to your Apple iCloud account settings. You can remove synced data via Apple account/device settings and by deleting app data.
Children’s Privacy
ComfortVerse is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information directly to the developer, contact support and it will be addressed.
Security
ComfortVerse relies on Apple platform security controls and CloudKit infrastructure for data-at-rest and data-in-transit protections when sync is enabled.
Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Updates will be reflected in this document with a revised effective date.
